Violet Thomas (nee Rosenthal)

Violet will be forever missed by her loving family, daughter Angela Anderson, son Perry Thomas, daughter Cindy (Troy) Froehlich, grandchildren Justin (Nicole), Taylor (Lindsay), Parker (Courtney), Mackenzie (Dylan) and Kennedy, great-grandchildren Ella, Lyla, Ambrose, Logan and Wren, brothers Leonard (Carol), Elmer (Beatrice), George and sisters Edna (Jerry), Elsie. Violet was predeceased by her husband Ivan, daughter Bonnie, son in law Dean, parents Adolf and Elizabeth (Bierwagon) Rosenthal. brothers Willy, Ernie,Irvine, and sister Clara. Violet was born in Okla, Saskatchewan and grew up on a family farm and in Lintlaw. Violet met Ivan Thomas in Saskatoon and they were married June 11, 1960. Ivan and Violet owned and operated Saskatoon Star Transfer for 25 years. After moving to Nipawin in 1975, Violet and Ivan started the business Thomas Motors, adding a second location in Melfort in 1987.
Violet loved every moment with her grandchildren and was a devoted grandmother with her 5 great grandchildren calling her GG. Violet and Ivan enjoyed their cabin at Candle Lake and all the family memories created there. Violet loved Christmas especially decorating and wrapping every gift no matter how small. One of Violet’s passions was her yard and tending to her many flowers over the years.
A private Celebration of Violet’s Life will be held at a future date.

The family would like to express thanks to her compassionate and kind care team at the Hospice at Glengarda, her family doctor, Dr. C. Nave and her staff, and to everyone who sent positive prayers.
