It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Vicki Lee Johnson on April 13th 2026. She left us peacefully beside her loving husband Roger in the comfort of her home, which is exactly how she would want it. She will be enormously missed by her family and friends as well as professional acquaintances around the world. She was the Executive Director of the NAPA Piedmontese Association and a founding member of the Saskatchewan Reigning Cowhorse Association.

She loved family, kids, grandkids, friends, flowers, hummingbirds, the essence of life, and found beauty in quiet moments. She was loving, determined, intuitive, mindful, playful, spiritual, kind, strong, private, and creative. She was loved by many. She was small in stature, but larger than life in spirit.

Do not stand by my grave, and weep.

I am not there, I do not sleep—

I am the thousand winds that blow,

I am the diamond glints in snow,

I am the sunlight on ripened grain,

I am the gentle autumn rain.

As you awake with morning’s hush,

I am the swift, up-flinging rush

Of quiet birds in circling flight,

I am the day transcending night.

Do not stand by my grave, and cry—

I am not there, I did not die.
