V. Dale Polichuk age 72, of Borden, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2026 after a short but aggressive battle with pancreatic cancer. Born on Feb. 8, 1954, Dale dedicated his life to his family, fishing, and hunting and the ability to figure out and fix anything he set his mind to. After trying his hand at farming in southern Saskatchewan, he switched careers and trained as a journeyman welder. He worked at GLM Tanks in North Battleford, Sask until retiring in 2015. Dale couldn’t sit still, so he began working part-time at the Eagle Creek Park until requiring double hip surgery.

Dale is survived by his wife of 52 years Terry Wiik; and his children Ryan Polichuk (Tiffany Konotopetz) with grandsons Weston and Tate Polichuk of Borden, Sask, and Aryn Polichuk (Katie Irwin) of Burlington, Ontario. He is also survived by his Mother, Irene Polichuk, sisters Sandra Malcolm, Sylvia (Alain) Rodrigue, Janice (Doug) Horn, and Vera (Blair) Horn, with many nieces and nephews, neighbors, and friends. He was preceded in death by his Father, Walter Polichuk, Mother and Father-In-law, Joan and Dennis Wiik, Brothers-in-law David Malcolm and David Cahill, and numerous Aunts and Uncles.

A private family viewing will be held at Cherished Memories Funeral Home in Martensville, Sask. on June 10 at 1 p.m. An informal Celebration of Life and social gathering will be held at the Borden Seniors Center on July 18th, 2026 from 1:30pm - 5pm in Borden, Sask. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Saskatchewan Cancer Center in Saskatoon.
