Shawn Christopher Harhara, born September 10, 1976, passed away at home on January 3, 2026, at the age of 49.

Shawn is lovingly missed by his wife, Tanya, and their daughter, Adyssen. He is also survived by his parents, Donald and Brenda Harhara; his brother, Scott, and sister‑in‑law, Erin Harhara; his mother‑in‑law, Linda Materi, and Hank VanHam; as well as his brothers‑ and sisters‑in‑law Ron and Marcie Materi, Jason and Daphne Materi, Kevin Materi and Rhonda Andreas, and Tyson and Chelsa Materi. He was a proud uncle to his nieces and nephews Jozlynn, Alyssa, Wyatt, Layne, Zaye, Reece, Roger, Kellirae, and Landon. Shawn is predeceased by his father‑in‑law, Ronald Materi.

On the outside, Shawn could look rough and tough, but those who knew him best saw a deeply caring and loving man. He loved his dogs and always wanted to be surrounded by his family and friends. Some of his happiest times were spent at the lake spot—sharing family meals, playing Kaiser, enjoying good times, and making memories with the people he loved most.

Shawn worked as a heavy equipment operator with the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 870, a career that took him to job sites all over Saskatchewan. He was proud of his trade and the hard work he put into every project.

His warmth, humour, and loyalty will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and he will be forever loved and remembered. He would much prefer you celebrate him with drinks and lots of ice, shared stories, and laughter, rather than with tears.

A service to celebrate Shawn’s life will be held on January 8, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., at Cherished Memories, 591 Centennial Drive N, Martensville, SK.
