It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ron Petryshyn on February 10th, 2026 at R.U.H at the age of 75 years old.

Ron was surrounded at his bedside by his family at the time of his passing from a battle with cancer.

He was predeceased by his wife Linda, parents Isidore and Molly, and mother-in-law Teresa.

Ron was survived by his children, son Dallas, daughter Denine (Curtis), grandson Sheldon, Jared, granddaughter Brooklyn. Brother Terry (Bernice), Rick (Coleen), sister Dianne, Judy (Paul), Debbie (Kevin), sisters-in-law Bonnie (Peter), Sherry (Wally) and nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.

When summer came you would see Ron sitting on his deck which had the perfect view of the Exhibition grounds and all the events going on. During Exhibition time, Ron’s place was the spot to come by and park to go for the festivities. Family, friends, even strangers became regulars every year asking if they could stop by and park. At any point in the year, people would be driving by, honking their horns or coming in for a visit and a drink and chat.
