It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Pierre "Peter" Martin Catarat, on August 30, 2026, at the age of 74.

Peter was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, foster parent, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.

Peter is lovingly survived by his wife, Jeanette Catarat; his children, Marcel (Melissa), Alex Catarat, Jamie Grandbois, and Jessica (Trevor) Grandbois; and his grandchildren, Tyesha, Naomi (Obie), Alexis, Aiden, Adam, Aleigha, Julie, Conrad, Cassidy, Trevor Jr., Tess, and Tennille. He will also be lovingly remembered by his great-grandchildren, Tyrik, Raevona, and Raeanna; his sister, Anastasia Catarat; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, foster children, extended family members, and friends.

Peter was predeceased by his parents, Alec and Madeline Catarat; his son, Richard Catarat; his brothers, Harry and Alfred Catarat; and his grandparents, Simon and Angelique Nezcroche.

Peter leaves behind a beautiful family and a lifetime of memories that will be carried forward by those who loved him. His presence in the lives of his family, friends, and community will be deeply missed, but the love he shared will remain in their hearts.
