It is with love and sadness that the family of Phyllis Isabelle Crawford announce her passing on October 22, 2025, at the age of 90.
Phyllis was born July 24,1935, in Humboldt, SK. She grew up with her family on a farm near Plunkett, later moving to Rosetown, and Alsask, before settling down in Saskatoon where she met her husband Jim, where they raised their family.
Phyllis’s joys in life included her 3 children, 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. Her music, gardening, sudoku puzzles and chocolate brought much happiness to her over the years, and she loved travelling, Banff and Hawaii were two of her favorite places to visit, as well as camping to enjoy time in nature. Phyllis was a long-time member of the Saskatoon Skating Club and was grateful for the wonderful connections she made there. Phyllis also had a playful sense of humor, and it will be missed by those who loved her.
She leaves to cherish her memory: Children Gary (Jocelyn), Glenn (Barb) and Sherry – their families and many extended relatives. Phyllis was predeceased by her husband Jim, her son Dale, her grandson Chad, her grandson in-law Chris, her parents Margaret and Steve and her sister Beatrice.
Our family extends a heartfelt thanks to the incredible staff at Rebecca’s Personal Care Home, and wonderfully supportive staff at St. Paul’s Hospital, including the Palliative Care Team, the Spiritual Care Team and the Nurses staff on the 5th Floor Medicine Unit for their loving care.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan,
There will be a private interment service held for Phyllis at a later date.
