Philip George Froese

June 6, 1953 — November 14, 2025

Dad was of man of faith. He lived by higher principles; the 4th dimension of spirituality. He had integrity, perseverance and wisdom. He was not a quitter!!

He taught me about spirituality, taking responsibility, and the importance of being true to oneself. He came from a family of 12 kids, where money was tight and they were made to work hard. But Creativity was the foundation of his life and he will be known by many for his long list of inventions. At 15 he cut a car in half, making it into a convertible like car, pieced together by what he could find. As a kid I remember his self-unloading hay trailer. He was known for the ability of grabbing a square bale and throwing it from the ground up-and-over a full semi load of hay to the other side. In the late 70s-early 80s he had tried to patent his Protect a Tire idea, the infamous setting every newer car today has to inform you when your tires are getting low. Way ahead of his time. He manufactured pontoon boats equipped with a "wheel with a wheel" concept where the engine spins on a wheel at the rear of the boat enabling the boat to turn on a dime. So many creations, and many I'm not even aware of.

We worked together for many years, up until he went to the hospital. He was driving truck and it was a dead end. So on one of his trips back, he had an empty trailer and picked up a ditch witch, which he converted into a stump grinder. He went cold calling, knocking on doors for 2 years, earning money grinding stumps. Gradually he was able to purchase a truck that he then attached a crane to. The company then formed into Stumpasaurus where the business expanded into tree removal and included my son Ethan; 3 generations working together as a team.

We also did demolition, removing massive boilers out of Park Ridge nursing home, Rosthern care home, St. Mary's villa in Humboldt, as well as installing the newer models. We got the tender to remove a 20 tonne press out of CNH. He was not afraid of a challenge. Dad taught me "the money is just the icing on the cake, Lana", and that the real joy came from the people we got to meet on every job as well as the challenge of the obstacles before us.

Dad was proud of his forty-seven years of sobriety and I was fortunate to witness him help others achieve sobriety, including myself. I likely will never meet another individual on this Earth with the foundation he had in his sobriety. Dad loved life. And his sense of humor was first and foremost.

" Fear is an imposter, there is only Love". I will never get over the loss of this great man. My hero.

'And he shall be crowned King, far in a spiritual city'

He will be lovingly remembered and missed by all who knew him, especially his family.
