Melvin John Kenneth Sass

Melvin John Kenneth Sass, age 83, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2024 at Circle Drive Special Care Home. He was born August 31, 1940 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan to John and Louise Sass. He was married to his wife Beth for 62 years and was a loving husband and father.

Melvin is survived by his wife Beth, daughter Cathy Johnson (Darren) and two sons, Kevin and Clint (Jeanann) as well as his grandchildren Amanda McAlaster (Mat Thiessen), Ryan McAlaster (Jessie), Joe Sass (Cheyenne Hoffman), Amy Johnson and Porter Johnson. He is also survived by eight brothers and sisters who live in Saskatchewan and Alberta: Lorraine, Bev (Bob), Wes (Bev), Roy (Val), Dick, Bonnie (Bryan), Beatrice and Graham. There are also three great grandchildren Carter and twins Jacob and Lauren. Also, many nieces, nephews and their children. Melvin was cremated and there will be no service as per his wishes. Memorial donations can be provided to Saskatoon SPCA. Melvin was always fond of animals and almost always had a pet at home.
