Marie Trottier, born on October 14, 1947, in Wakaw, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2025, in Saskatoon. She was a beloved wife, mother figure, sister, and friend, whose enduring spirit and kind heart touched the lives of many.

Marie is lovingly survived by her devoted husband, Terry Trottier. Her warmth and nurturing presence will be immensely missed by her sisters, Beatrice Lemaigre (Russell) and Francine Sylvestre. Over the years, she took care of and welcomed into her life a group of children who cherished her: Norman S, JJ S, Linda S, Collette S, Edna S, Florence S, Violet S, and Mary Ann S.

Marie was predeceased by her parents, Elizabeth and Michael Montgrand, alongside her brothers, Pierre Sylvestre, Jacon Janvier, Robert Montgrand, and Robert Guetre. She was also preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Kathy Trottier-Houghton (George), and brothers-in-law, Roger Trottier (Rosemary), Leonard Trottier (Beverly), and Timothy Trottier (Bonnie).

Marie leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and friends, all of whom were touched by her generosity and spirit.

A wake will be held at the Friendship Centre in Buffalo Narrows, Saskatchewan. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at 2 PM at St. Leo the Great Roman Catholic Church in Buffalo Narrows, where Father Maria Robert S.D.M will officiate. Following the service, Marie will be laid to rest at the Buffalo Narrows Cemetery.

Marie Trottier will be remembered for her compassion, her unwavering love, and her commitment to family and friends. Her cherished memories will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
