Marie Madeleine Favel

It is with heartfelt sorrow and deep love that the family of Marie Favel announces her passing. Marie was a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose gentle spirit and unwavering love touched countless lives.

Marie is lovingly survived by her children: Betty (Stan) Lintick, Brian (Zerlina) Favel, Doris Favel, Duane (Elaine) Favel, Jenny Favel, Gerald (Veronica) Favel, and Tracey Frazer. She leaves behind all her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy and pride.

She is also survived by her brothers and sisters: Leon (Mary Jane) Durocher, Diane Woodruff, Martin Durocher, Rene (Hannah) Durocher, Marlene (Howard) Thompson, and her beloved aunt, Jacqui Bouvier.

Marie now reunites with those who went before her, including her loving husband James Favel; her son Anthony “Biggest” Favel; her mother Francoise Durocher; her father Abraham Durocher; and her sister Margaret Moorehouse.

Marie’s grandsons will serve as Pallbearers, honouring her with love and respect. Honorary Pallbearers include the St. Joseph’s Health Centre & Long-Term Care Staff, Delphine Corrigal, Dorothy Dubrule, Pauline Favel, Alice Woods, Adelaide Bouvier, Marie Adele Desjarlais, all her many godchildren, and the many others whose lives she touched so deeply. A Eulogy will be shared by Dorothy Dubrule.

Marie will be remembered for her strength, compassion, and the deep love she held for her family. Her legacy will continue in the hearts of all who knew her.

A Wake Service will be held from November 17–19, 2025, at the Sakitawak Entertainment Centre in Ile-à-la-Crosse, Saskatchewan.The Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at St. John the Baptist Church, Ile-à-la-Crosse, Saskatchewan, officiated by Father Ramu Polimetla SDM.
