Marguerite McCallum

It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of Marguerite McCallum on August 9, 2025, at the age of 101. Marguerite lived a life rooted in faith, family, and kindness, touching the hearts of all who knew her.

Marguerite is lovingly survived by her children:Clement (Jack) & Eva, Vital & Rose, Therese & Marcel, Albertine & Donald, Helen (Rita), Edward & Liz, Joseph & Gwen, Clara & George, Peter & Eva, Ernestine & Kelvin, Louis & Tina, and Allan.

She is also survived by her sister Hermaline, brother Alfred, sisters-in-law Patricia and Claire, and many special friends including Rose Campbell, Dorothy & Louis Dubrule, and Barbara Flett. Marguerite leaves behind numerous grandchildren and capans, who will carry forward her legacy of love and warmth.

Marguerite was predeceased by her loving husband Jules; daughters Freida and Beatrice; five other children who passed before her; parents Maryange and Edward; sisters Helen, Agnes, Sophie, and Therese; brothers Ralph and Jimmy; as well as cherished grandchildren Raymond Jr., Paul, Kylee, and Margaret; and capans Candice, Raine, Davene, Christian, and Acklen. She also mourned the loss of her dear friend Sarazine (Kokum Beebē).

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Interment to follow in Île-à-la-Crosse, SK. 

Marguerite will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her strong faith, and her generosity of spirit.

The family wishes to thank all who have offered their condolences, prayers, and support during this difficult time.
