Lanny Carter

Carter, Lanny Frederick. (March 13, 1947 – December 27, 2021)

We are saddened to announce the passing of Lanny after a short battle with cancer.  He leaves to mourn his wife of 53 years, Jo-Anne, their daughter Lynette & son-in-law Paul, son Aaron & daughter-in-law Krista. His grandkids were the light of his life, Jocelyn (Troy), Kelsey, Ryan (Alyssa), Megan, Lane, Cara, Kyle and Nathan and great-granddaughter Adalynne.  He is also survived by his sisters Linda, Marilyn (Malcolm), Muriel (Mervin).  Lanny spent many years in the insurance industry as an adjuster and valued the friendships he made.   He and Jo-Anne retired to their cabin at Whiteswan Lake in 2013.  Family was the most important thing in his life and over the years making memories with family was dear to his heart.  He always enjoyed the grandkids’ comments that started with “hey Grandpa – remember when”.  He was also ready for a coffee and a chat making special friends over the years.

We say goodbye for now “Lan Man”.  We all love you and will carry you close in our hearts.

A Celebration of Lanny’s life will be held at a later date.
