Kimberley Rae Montgrand - Pipikwan Iskwew (Eagle Whistle Woman)
With deep sorrow and profound love, we announce the passing of Kimberley Rae Montgrand, known in spirit as Pipikwan Iskwew (Eagle Whistle Woman), on September 3, 2025, at the age of 44.
Kym will be forever loved and remembered by her children — Mikwan (Garret), Wynter, Raelle, and Gage; her cherished granddaughter Haisley Robillard; her devoted parents Norma and John Montgrand; her siblings Deanna and Jordan (Winnie); and her beloved nephew Kaius Montgrand. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and adopted family who held her close to their hearts.
Kym was predeceased by her son Angel Rhayne, her twin babies, her grandparents Daniel & Mary Montgrand and Gilbert & Agnes Fiddler, aunties Therese Montgrand and Antoinette Iron, uncles Kenny, Roy, Glen, Wilbert, Douglas, and Daniel Fiddler, and her best friend Dawn Bouchier.
Kym was a proud and strong Indigenous woman, rooted deeply in her culture and traditions. She touched many lives with her unwavering love, sense of humour, and fierce spirit. Her ceremonial life and connection to the Native American Church were central to who she was, and she leaves behind a legacy of resilience, love, and healing.
Traditional Funeral Services will be performed by the Native American Church on Monday, September 8, 2025, at 2:00 PM.
Viewing will take place on Friday, September 5th at 10:00 AM at Cherished Memories Funeral Services in Martensville, SK.
