It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Keenan Troy Sylvestre, lovingly known as “Smoosh” and “KT,” on April 17, 2026.

Keenan is lovingly survived by his daughters, Kaleigha and Raylah; and his special friend, Cayleen. He will be deeply missed by his parents, Linda and Emile Sylvestre; his biological parents, Casey Piche and Effie Sylvester; his grandmother, Mary Sylvester; and his step-mom, Jamie Lee Janvier.

He leaves behind his siblings, Shawna (Tyson), Lorena, Kayden, Casey Jr., Jewel, and Stephanie. Keenan will be fondly remembered by his nieces, Tylah, Shylah, and Anna; and his nephews, William, Tyson Jr., and Liam.

He is also survived by his aunts, Sylvia (Norman), Toni, and Annette; and his uncles, Hubert, Henry, Armand (Dorilda), John, and Edward (Margaret). Keenan shared a special bond with his best friends, Tanya Herman and Arlene Lemaigre, and will be remembered by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, and friends.

Keenan was predeceased by his great-grandparents, Mary Rose Piche, Chris Herman, Cecile Sylvestre, and Paul Sylvester; his brothers, Taylen “Buckay” Herman, Aaron “Arnold” Lemaigre, Dawson “Chow” Herman, and Nelson “Oun” Janvier; and his auntie, Sharon Sylvester.

A wake will be held from Wednesday, April 22 to Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 204 Northshore Drive, Clearwater River Dene Nation, Saskatchewan.

The Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Visitation Catholic Church in La Loche, Saskatchewan, with Fr. Doss officiating.

Burial will follow at La Loche Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Tyrell “Disclo” Herman, Kayden Janvier, Cornell Lemaigre, Casey Jr. Piche, Dawson “Speege” Piche, Emile Sylvestre, Terran “Visit” Herman, Tyson Lemaigre, Tyler “Tylou” Lemaigre, Casey Piche, and Jackson Janvier.

Honorary pallbearers are all those who loved Keenan “Smoosh” “KT” Sylvestre.

Keenan will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
