Kathaleen Helen Murphy

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kathaleen Murphy, age 68, who left us on August 17, 2025.

Kathaleen was a proud mother, grandmother, and friend. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures, spending days at the lake, baking treats for family, and sharing her love of crafting. Above all, her greatest happiness came from time with her grandchildren.

She is lovingly remembered by her children: Alex Murphy and his wife, Ashley; Patrick Murphy; and Peter Murphy and his partner, Jess Wylie. Kathaleen was the proud grandmother of Abby, Declan, Kipton, Ashlynn, Bronwyn, and Bennett, all of whom adored their “Grandma Murphy.”

Her warmth, creativity, fierce competitive spirit, strength, and love will live on through the many memories she created with family and friends.

A celebration of Kathaleen’s life will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, August 22, at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, 1224 12th St. E.

To commemorate Kathaleen’s passion for life, please consider wearing bright colours (her favourite being blue) rather than the traditional black.

She will be deeply missed, and her memory cherished.
