In Loving Memory of James Rene Favel "JIMMY"
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of James Favel, who departed this life surrounded by the love of his family and community.
James is survived by his loving wife, Marie Favel, with whom he shared a lifetime of devotion and care. He will be lovingly remembered by his children: Betty (Stan) Lintick, Brian (Zerlina) Favel, Doris Favel, Duane (Elaine) Favel, Jenny Favel, Gerald (Veronica) Favel, and Tracey Frazer. He leaves behind a beautiful legacy in his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him endless pride and joy.
James is also survived by his sister, Alice Woods, and brother, Geordie Favel.
He was predeceased by his son, Anthony “Biggest” Favel; his granddaughter, Cecil Marie Favel; his parents, Jack and Flora Favel; and his siblings: Mary, Jonas, Joe, Norman, Donald, Billy, and Antoinette.
James lived a life grounded in family, tradition, and quiet strength. His warmth, resilience, and gentle spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Funeral Service: Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. St. John the Baptist Church Île-à-la-Crosse, Saskatchewan

Pallbearers: Martin Gardiner, Gordon Kenny, Jack Favel, Brook Favel, Tyler Favel, Tyronne Ratt, Neil McCallum, and other grandchildren
Honorary Pallbearers: The Métis Nation of Saskatchewan, The dedicated LTC staff at St. Joseph’s Health Centre and all who knew and loved Jimmy.
