With heavy hearts, the family of Isidore Jimmy Desjarlais announces his passing on September 27, 2026, at the age of 84. Isidore will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and everyone whose life he touched. He will be remembered with great affection for the love, warmth, and cherished memories he leaves behind.

Isidore is lovingly survived by his wife Gloria; his children Diana (Randal) Tracz, Darren Desjarlais, and Janie Desjarlais; his sisters Rose (Glen) Desjarlais, and Susan (Doug) Krowchenko; his brothers Fred (Judy) Desjarlais, and Oscar Desjarlais; and all of his beloved and adored grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Isidore is predeceased by his parents Ernest and Mary Desjarlais; his son Earl (Tammy) Desjarlais; his siblings Tommy (Judy) Desjarlais, Johnny Desjarlais, Bernadette (Martin) Chartier, Paul Desjarlais, and Richard Desjarlais; and his little angels Baby Girl Tina Marie, and Baby Boy Weston.

A Viewing with be held from 11:00am - 1:00pm on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at Cherished Memories 591 Centennial Drive North in Martensville, SK. 

A Wake will be held from Tuesday, September 29, 2026 until Friday, October 2, 2026, at St. Leo the Great Roman Catholic Church in Buffalo Narrows, SK. Family and friends will gather and connect at the Buffalo Narrows Friendship Center to share stories and laughter.

A Pre-Mass Celebration Tribute will be held from 11:00am - 2:00pm on Friday, October 2, 2026, at St. Leo the Great Roman Catholic Church in Buffalo Narrows, SK.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, October 2, 2026, at St. Leo the Great Roman Catholic Church in Buffalo Narrows, SK. Interment will be held following the funeral service at the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Buffalo Narrows, SK.

I carry a cross in my pocket, 

A simple reminder to me, 

Of the fact that I am a Christian 

No matter where I may be. 

This little cross is not magic 

Nor is it a good luck charm; 

It isn't meant to protect me 

From every physical harm. 

It is not for identification 

For all the world to see. 

It's simply an understanding 

Between my Saviour and me. 

When I put my hand in my pocket 

To bring out a coin or a key, 

The cross is there to remind me 

Of the price He paid for me. 

It reminds me too, to be thankful 

For my blessings day by day, 

And to strive to serve Him better 

In all that I do or say. 

It's also a daily reminder

Of the peace and comfort I share 

With all who know my Master 

And give themselves to His care. 

So I carry a cross in my pocket 

Reminding no one but me

That Jesus Christ is the Lord of my life 

If only I'll let Him be.
