It is with sorrowful hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Irene Rabu (nee Gaudet) at the age of 79 years.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, 6 children, 12 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren, -their families, many extended relatives and friends. 

She loved her garden, hosting family meals, connecting with people in the community and in her church group. One of her proudest accomplishments was helping to put together the Domremy history book. Mom absolutely loved harvesting berries and hazelnuts found along the river and other “secret patches” in the area. She always knew where to find the tastiest Saskatoons and chokecherries! She also enjoyed cooking with others and sharing recipes and cooking tips. 

Irene was a blessing to all who knew her. 

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 13 at 11:00 a.m. at Ste Joanne of Arc Roman Catholic Church in Domremy, SK.
