Gordon Boyko

July 21, 1945 – September 29, 2023

The family is deeply saddened to announce that after a brief illness, Gord passed away peacefully.  He is survived by his wife, Betty; his son, Sean; his daughter, Heather (Daryl) and his grandson, Kale.

Gord was born in Kelvington SK, and moved at a young age to Weyburn.  Gord and Betty met in Saskatoon and were married in 1966.  After starting their family, they moved to Weyburn, where Gord built houses and started a woodworking business with a close friend.  After a number of years, they returned to Saskatoon to further his education at the University of Saskatchewan.  Shortly after graduating, he began his career with Investors Group.  Gord truly enjoyed his 21 years working as a financial planner and later as a manager.  The relationships that he built during his career led to life long friendships.

Gord loved to golf.  Gord and Betty always packed their clubs on their travels.  He enjoyed woodworking, creating many pieces over the years for his family and friends.  Gord loved his cars – especially his little green MG.  He loved to just take his family for a drive. Gord also loved to travel.  The family enjoyed so many road trips, summers at the cabin – boating, fishing and enjoying time together, as well as spending the winters on South Padre Island, TX.

At Gord’s request, there will not be a service.  Donations in his honour can be made to Parkinson’s Canada

( 4211 Yonge Street, Suite 316, Toronto, ON M2P 2A9. donate@parkinson.ca ) or to the charity of your choice.

Please feel free to share a memory of Gord. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
