Gord Michael Chrun

On July 30th, surrounded by loved ones, Gord Chrun passed away. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Dianne Chrun; his oldest son, Brandon Chrun (Kelsey), and their children, Anna and Tessa; and his youngest son, Dillen Chrun (Kathleen), and their children, Nina and Barrett. He also leaves behind his mother, Ellen Chrun; his sisters, Eleanor and Jackie; and his brothers, Bernie, Ervin, and Mike; and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his dad, Victor Chrun; sister in laws Rae-Anne Chrun and Connie Stevenson; and his in laws, Ralph and Agnes Thomas.

Gord will be remembered for his distinct voice, sense of humour, generous nature and his infinite love for his grand babies.He was many things to many people—friend, mentor, neighbour, and more—but his proudest title was “Gido,” a role he cherished above all others.

Gord spent his life working with his hands, tying rebar with pride and precision with his business partner Chris Wright and their guys. Through hard work, quiet strength, and a generous spirit, he helped shape not just concrete and steel, but also the lives of those around him.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan in Gord’s memory.
