It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of George Alfred Laprise.
George is lovingly remembered by his children, Clifford (Priscilla), Patsy (Dale), and Jocelyn (Rod); his grandchildren Casey, Rodney (Kendra), Cynthia, Myrna, Ashley, Patricia, Fabian, Deano, Taylor, Tyler, Taylen, Taitlyn, Candice, Cassandra, Cody, Brad, and Jessica; and his great-grandchildren Kyle, Brayden, Tavien, Taryn, Delaina, Raya, Ashlynn, Harlyn, Amy, Emily, Trayden, Tia, Adoralee, Manny Jr., Isabel, Isiah, Angel, Ryder, River, Shaylynn, Lorissa, Chase, Omar, Lynnisha, Jaelyn, Lucious, Teyanna, Ezra, Eleah, Cassius, and Jax.
He is also survived by his brothers Freddy (Edwina) and Ronnie; sisters-in-law Adelaide (Max) and Lena (Freddy); brother-in-law Ernest; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
George was predeceased by his beloved wife Rosie; his sons Donald and Wilbert; his daughter Jocelyn; his parents Isabelle and Gilbert; his brothers Harry and Tobie; his sister Maria; and his parents-in-law Pierre and Anna Marie.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Visitation Roman Catholic Church, La Loche, SK, with officiant Fr. Maria Robert, SDM. Interment will follow at Garson Lake Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Brad, Dale, Casey, Fabian, Cody, Deano, Rodi, and Rodney. Honorary Pallbearers are all those who loved and knew George.
Martens Warman Funeral Home is honoured to be entrusted with Mr. George Laprise's care and arrangements.
