Francis Roy Crosson

August 14, 1933 — May 15, 2025

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Francis Crosson of Saskatoon, who died peacefully at 91 surrounded by family. He often remarked that he had a great life and felt he was a lucky man. Born in 1933 in the Spy Hill district, the youngest of the six children of Eva (Salkeld) and Roy Crosson, Francis lived a life rooted in prairie values—hard work, resilience, independence, and a deep connection to family. Coming to Saskatoon about 1950, he had a long career as a builder and contractor, and later as an infrastructure manager for the City of Saskatoon. From a young age, he loved horses, which became a defining passion throughout his life, whether in riding, driving, competitions, parades, wagon treks, mentoring young people, or giving rides at the Western Development Museum.

Francis will be remembered for his enduring strength, his many ties to family and community, and the joy he found in nature and being with horses. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.The family wishes to thank physician Dr. Dan Dattani and hospital staff for their kind, thorough, and compassionate care.

A private memorial service will be held June 8. Donations in Francis Crosson’s memory would be welcomed by the Western Development Museum.

Cherished Memories is honoured to be entrusted with the care and arrangements for Francis.
