Eugene Fredrick
Flasch
Nov 15, 1931 — Aug 24, 2026
It is with love and sadness I announce the peaceful passing of Eugene Flasch. Eugene was born in Scott to Fred and Elizabeth Flasch.
He was the eldest of eight. The family moved to Leipzig where he completed his schooling, upon graduation he moved to Saskatoon and went to normal school where he received his teaching certificate.
Eugene taught in several communities. The communities he taught at included Burr, Climax, Brock, Burstall, Leader, Mendham and finally Glaslyn where he retired in 1987. We moved to Saskatoon in 1995.
Dad wore many hats: teacher, MLA, hail adjuster, mechanic, handyman, son, brother and friend. The most important was husband, father and grandfather.
Eugene played baseball when he was younger and curled before he retired and continued after retirement in a senior league.
When Eugene was in Burstall he met Margaret Needrum and they were married in 1957. Family was important to both my parents. Dad’s grandsons were the apple of his eye.
He and Mum enjoyed visiting family, friends and dancing. The last years were hard as Dad navigated dementia.
Eugene is survived by his daughter Audrey, his son Grant (Donna), daughter in-law Kathy and grandsons Joel and Cody. Brothers: Roy, Greg and Rodney, Sisters-in-law: Marlene, Evelyn, Eileen and Jane, Nieces and Nephews.
Eugene was predeceased by his wife Margaret and son Brian, Brothers: Raymond and Dave, Sisters: Doreen (Alan), Joyce (Norbert), Sister in-law Betty (Gerald), Brother in-law Doug and Nephew Gary
Cherished Memories is honoured to be entrusted with Mr. Eugene Flasch's care and arrangements.
