Elenore Maurice

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Elenore Maurice.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a Wake Service on Friday, August 22, 2025, at the home of  Lillian Maurice, in Clearwater River Dene Nation.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 25, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Visitation Roman Catholic Church, La Loche, SK, with Lay Presider Jackie Janvier officiating. Burial will follow at the La Loche Cemetery.

Elenore is lovingly survived by her daughter, Lillian (Walter) Lemaigre; granddaughters, Shirley Maurice (Lloyd), Shawna Maurice (Dale), and Shannon Maurice (Darren); grandson, Dwayne Maurice; great-grandchildren, Lloyd, Laron, Lana, Skylen, Skyla, Maya, Mylana, Aiden, Howard Jr., Shontaya, Shanya, and Troy Toulejour; adopted sister, Toni Lemaigre; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband, Alex Maurice; daughter, Shirley Maurice; son, Wesley Maurice; parents, Mary Angele and Antonie Herman; grandparents, Angele Sylvestre and Pierre C.F. Sylvestre; step-grandmother, Elizabeth Sylvestre; and many other beloved siblings.

Elenore will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family, friends, and community.
