Edward James Shears

Edward Shears passed away peacefully on April 18, 2025, at home with his loving wife by his side. He leaves us after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Deloraine, Manitoba, Ed spent his younger years in British Columbia and later made Saskatchewan his home. A man of many talents, Ed was a true jack of all trades and a spirited lover of the outdoors, happiest when camping, fishing, or sharing a tall tale.

Ed will be missed greatly by his wife, Faye, their fur babies, many cherished siblings, nieces, nephews, and the countless friends he met along the way.

Friends and family will remember Ed for his uncanny ability to always tell a captivating story as far out in left field as they sometimes were.

His contributions to our lives will never be forgotten and we will forever carry his love in our hearts.

In keeping with Ed’s wishes, no formal service will be held. 

His family invites you to honour his memory in your own way — whether it’s a fishing trip, a campfire story, or simply a moment of quiet reflection.
