Donald Ernest Wilson, age 87, died peacefully on July 12, 2026, at Parkridge Centre in Saskatoon.

Born on December 4, 1938, Donald was predeceased by his parents, Charles Ernest Wilson and Blanche Irene Wilson and his brother, Kenneth Wilson. He is survived by his son, Dean Wilson (Muriel Wilson), his sister-in-law, Doreen Wilson, his cherished grandchildren, as well as extended family and friends who will all miss him dearly.

Donald spent over 40 years at the Star Phoenix before starting a second career as a long-haul truck driver with Kindersley Transport. He was a hard-working guy who took pride in everything he did.

Outside of work, Donald was an accomplished bowler, collecting plenty of trophies over the years. He also enjoyed golfing, and whenever he got the chance one of his favourite things to do was go and watch his son Dean play softball .

Donald often surprised family at work or home with a quick visit to check in and catch up with them. His visits and steady presence will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

In keeping with Donald’s wishes, there will be no formal service. A private family burial will take place, and he will be laid to rest alongside his parents at Woodlawn Cemetery in Saskatoon.
