It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Cynthia Marie Shorter (Cindy) on November 19, 2023 after a short but courageous battle with cancer, with her family and friends by her side.
Cynthia Marie Shorter (Cindy) was born on March 17, 1961 in Davidson, SK., where she was raised with her brother and sisters. She met her soul mate Bob Shorter, and later moved to Saskatoon where she went to Marvel Hair School, and later took a book keeping course.
She then had her 2 children and raised them in Saskatoon.
She owned her own business, a neighborhood video store called Video Knights for many years.
She was a loving mother and devoted wife who did everything for her kids and husband and loved her friends fiercely.
She was always up for company, a good laugh, a good shopping day out.
Cindy is predeceased by her mom and dad Chris and Orvald Amrud of Davidson, SK and her husband Bob Shorter.
She is survived by her brother Gary Amrud, sister Gayle Deschamps (Andre) Christopher (Kristel) Deschamps, Josie Deschamps.
Sister Susan Amrud (Dick Scott), David Scott (Megan), Alyssa Scott (Faisal).
Her daughter Lynnelle (Ryan) Butler, grandson Raimi Butler, son Kyle Shorter.
Cindy had many friends and a sense of humor, she really loved being with her people and being a mom.
She loved cards, crib, bingo, shopping, going for lunch, a good TV show or movie and spending time with her kids, Bob and friends.
Her smile and laugh will be missed by all who knew her. She really cared about people and will leave a missing piece in all our hearts.
Cremation has taken place at Cherished Memories Funeral Services and a Celebration of Life is being held on Saturday, November 25th, 2023 at the Army and Navy 1st Avenue, Saskatoon, SK. Luncheon included.
