With heavy hearts, teary eyes and many wonderful memories, Craig’s family said farewell to him on July 5, 2024. Craig will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his loving wife Sherri Hannah, daughter Megan Hannah, daughter Christi Klimchuk, son-in law Kyle Klimchuk, grandchildren Brynlee and Emerson Klimchuk, parents Les and Jan Hannah, in-laws Harry and Sarah Sanduliak and brother in-law and sister in-law Barry and Anita Sanduliak as well as innumerable friends that Craig collected over the years. He was a social butterfly that couldn’t help but make friends and the list of people he impacted with his gregarious nature and infectious energy can’t be counted. Craig’s superpower was in nurturing relationships with people, and he had the good fortune of many long and meaningful relationships, including the type of relationship with his in-laws that would make anyone envious.
Craig had a passion for the outdoors and spent much time fishing with his friends and family and moose hunting with his friends at their camp near Hudson Bay. He was a talented storyteller and if you were lucky enough to be around after one of his exploits in the wilderness you were in for a great story, told with passion and mostly truth.
Craig was very proud of his professional accomplishments which were many, and if you Google Craig’s name, you will see the passion that he carried in his professional life. He worked his way through the ranks of the University of Saskatchewan Facilities Management Division, starting his career at USASK as a caretaker, then as a Red Seal journey person painter and was very active in various roles within CUPE 1975, culminating in his dream job of President of CUPE 1975 which he served with honour and integrity from 2014-2020. He was a tenacious leader who represented the members with every ounce of energy he had to deliver what he felt was fair and right.
Craig would do anything for anyone, and everyone that had the privilege of knowing him will miss his loving energy and his sly humour.
A Celebration of Craig’s life will be held at Christ Church Anglican Church (515 28th St W Saskatoon) on Tuesday July 9th 2024 at 1:30PM
