It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Chris (Christine) Inga Peck (née Webster), of Victoria, British Columbia, who passed away peacefully on April 10, 2026, at the age of 65, surrounded by her loving family. 

Born on May 13, 1960, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, to Bill (William) and Yvonne Webster, Chris lived a life defined by love, kindness, resilience, and unwavering devotion to her family, friends, and community. Her family moved to Victoria in 1972, where she graduated from Esquimalt High School (1978) and built the foundation for the life she would so lovingly create. 

In January 2026, Chris was diagnosed with cancer. She faced every challenge that followed with remarkable courage, grace and determination. Although her time with us was far too short, the love she shared and the countless lives she touched will remain forever. 

Chris leaves behind her beloved husband and best friend, Dan, with whom she shared 48 wonderful years together, including 43 years of marriage. They met while living in the Esquimalt community of Victoria and were married on June 25,1983, beginning a lifetime of love, laughter, partnership, and adventure. 

Before children, Chris and Dan enjoyed time on the farm, riding horses bareback in the field, raising pets and enjoying carefree time with beloved friends. 

Together Chris and Dan built a beautiful family and raised three children: Nicole (Garret) Campbell, Jamie (Jason) Sikora, and Jordy (Jessica) Peck. 

Nothing brought Chris greater joy than being "G-Ma" to her three cherished grandchildren, Blake, Dax, and Myles. They were the light of her life, and she treasured every moment with them. 

Chris is lovingly remembered by her mother, Yvonne Shirley Webster of Victoria; her brothers, Brian Webster (Elena Cigala) and Ken (Tracey) Webster; her sister, Dawn (Mike) Jung; her nieces and nephews, Carson, Morgan, Brody, and Brock; and many extended family members and dear friends whose lives were enriched by knowing her. 

She was predeceased by her father, Bill (William) Webster, whose love and guidance remained with her throughout her life. 

Chris's greatest gift was creating a life centered on family, friendship, and community. For decades, summers at Waskesiu Lake in Prince Albert National Park were a cherished family tradition. There, she built lifelong friendships, spent endless days at the beach surrounded by family and friends - too many to list - and became a beloved member of the Waskesiu community. She contracted with the Saskatoon StarPhoenix children's newspaper route program, helping organize the young carriers each summer, and later discovered a passion for golf. A natural on the course, she spent countless happy hours at the Waskesiu Golf Course, where she became well known among fellow golfers. She also generously volunteered at the golf course, dedicating many hours each spring to preparing it for another busy golf season. 

Giving back was simply part of who Chris was. Throughout the years she volunteered tirelessly with the Shawnigan Lake Recreation Association, Racquet Club, and various community organizations. Whether organizing events, keeping time at sporting competitions, helping in the concession, coordinating schedules, or quietly stepping in wherever she was needed, she was someone others could always count on. Her remarkable organizational skills—along with her famous love of spreadsheets—kept not only community events running smoothly but also ensured her busy family was always exactly where they needed to be. 

In retirement, Chris and Dan enjoyed spending winters in Chandler, Arizona, where they embraced the sunshine, formed lasting friendships within their community, and shared many rounds of golf together. Their Arizona home became another gathering place where family and friends were always welcomed with open arms. Chris delighted in hosting visitors, sharing the beauty and experiences of Arizona through scenic day trips, and creating unforgettable memories in their backyard oasis. 

No matter where life took her—Saskatoon, Waskesiu, Arizona, or Victoria—Chris had an extraordinary gift for making a house feel like home. She enjoyed decorating, gardening, power walking, baking (especially at Christmas), hosting family dinners, sewing clothes for her children when they were young, planning the annual family road trips to Waskesiu, and enthusiastically supporting her children's activities and sports. Her generosity and quiet acts of kindness left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her. 

Those who knew Chris will remember her quick wit, infectious sense of humour, strength, unwavering honesty, and boundless generosity. She was fiercely devoted to the people she loved and found her greatest happiness simply by bringing family and friends together. The memories she created—and the love she gave so freely—will be treasured forever.
