Carmin Dawney Short

Carmin Dawney Short passed away peacefully with family at his side Wednesday December 19, 2018.

Carmin was predeceased by his parents Alex and Tillie, brothers Emil, Norman, Harvey, Bud and Louis. He is survived by his sister Yvonne(David) LittleCrow, sister-in-laws, Sharon Jarvis, Thelma Short, Marilyn Short, Shirley Redl and Beatrice Shortt. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces, and great great nephews and nieces.

Carmin was born March 1, 1935 at Round Prairie and was the oldest surviving Metis resident until health issues caused him to relocate to Saskatoon. Carmin loved to hunt especially with his brother Harvey in the sand dunes of Round Prairie. Carmin enjoyed his time with friends on weekends but always reported for work first thing Monday morning. Carmin enjoyed telling humorous stories about his past and the neighbors to friends and relatives and his storytelling will be missed by us all.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Sunnyside Nursing Home for the care he received while there.

The Graveside Service was held Sunday December 23 at 2:00 pm at spring Creek Lutheran Church.
