Royal Canadian Legion
Starts at 3:00 pm (Central (no DST) time)
It is with profound sadness to announce the sudden passing of Calvin (Kelly) McMahon. Kelly leaves behind, his wife Laurel and his stepson, Scott. Brothers, Dave (Linda) and Glen (Karen) Nephews, Chris (Britany), Patrick (Kasey), Kyle (Kristy), Dwaine (Lana) niece, Dawn and sister-in-law, Gloria, and brother-in-law, Garth (Wendy). Kelly was predeceased by his parents, Don and Grace and his brother, Mark.
Kelly was born in Saskatoon, SK on March 18,1957. One of his favourite things to do was head down to the legion on Friday nights, where he would hang out with his brothers and close friends. They would playfully argue about who was going to buy the first round but there was never a dull moment as they drank some beers, shared some stories and had some amazing laughs.
Kelly was a caring man who loved to help people, this was especially true about his good friend, Monty who he would help figure out anything techy or computer related. Kelly was also a big kid at heart, he loved sitting on his favourite chair, playing ps5 or virtual reality, he always loved to learn new things and was never scared of a challenge.
Kelly’s big passion was the Saskatchewan Roughriders! He served as a Rider rep for many years with his good friend, Rob. He would never miss watching a game, whether it was screaming at the tv, cheering for that touchdown or cursing at that missed field goal, he was one of their biggest fans. Go Riders Go!
Kelly was the best friend, uncle, stepfather, brother and husband that anyone could ever ask for. His presence will be tremendously missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Forever in our hearts Kelly, we love you.
There will be a gathering held at the Royal Canadian Legion at 606 Spadina Crescent West on August 22nd at 3pm. Please come and join us for a beer and share your favourite stories as this is what Kelly would’ve wanted.
Cherished Memories is truly honoured to be entrusted with Kelly's care and arrangements.
