It is with profound sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Bonnie at the age of 54 after a brief battle with cancer. Bonnie was born in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. She had a creative mind and was always making something. She loved to craft and garden and took a special interest in anything that was important to the children. She loved the lake and everything about being at the cabin. She enjoyed spending time with her mom and playing cards and games. Bonnie did not have her own children, so instead she was an incredible auntie and second mother to her best friend Cindy’s children (Mitch and Dani), and to her niece and nephew (Emma and Tucker) who all loved her fiercely. Bonnie was always there for those she loved and gave her whole heart. She was predeceased by her father Alfred Blodgett and stepmother Donna Carignan. Bonnie is survived by her mother Betty Blodgett, sister Deanna (Randy) Whitford and their children Emma and Tucker; her greatest friend Cindy Fortney (Wes Friesen) and children Mitchel and Danielle, her aunt Doris Blodgett and Uncle Victor Darling, and numerous loving and dedicated cousins.
A memorial will be held on Friday June 3, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Lac Pelletier Hall.
Flowers can be sent to 1706 Springs Drive, Swift Current. From there, they will be taken to Lac Pelletier Hall.
Donations in Bonnie’s name can be made to The Canadian Cancer Society.
