We are incredibly saddened to announce the sudden passing of Audra Schneider on May 30th 2025.
Audra was born to Barry Moulder-Finlayson and Margaret (Maggie) Imrie July 27 1968 in Moosejaw SK. Audra spent the majority of her childhood summers with her Grandparents and moved around frequently during the winters, depending on Maggie’s work.
She was living in Regina when she met her husband Darren Schneider, who lived in Saskatoon at the time. They settled in Saskatoon and were married July 31 1999. Together they raised their only child Noah, with Audra having a fulfilling career in banking until she retired due to health reasons.
Audra loved to craft in her free time, trying out new techniques and ideas as often as she could, spending hours in her craft area making things for family and friends. She loved to read as much as she could, and never went far without a kindle. Spending time with family and friends was one of her favourite things to do, taking any chance she could to spend time with loved ones.
Audra loved to take trips to the lake, spending as much time by the water as she could, and filled the gaps with puzzles and reading. Audra was an avid cat lover, having several throughout her life and leaving behind two orange cats named Richard and Jimmie, who she loved dearly. She spent much of her time playing with them, giving them treats, and looking for new ways to spoil them.
Audra is survived by her husband Darren, son Noah, father Barry (Jill), step-father Paul, half-brother Ross. She is also survived by many brother and sister in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews from both sides of the family, along with many caring friends.Audra was predeceased by her mother Maggie, her grandmother Aletha, and many other relatives.
Audra was an incredibly sweet and caring person, who never forgot an important date and was always there for those who needed her. A celebration of life is being planned for her sometime in October. When a date is determined, Darren will post it on Facebook or you can reach out to any family member to find it.
Cherished Memories is honoured to be entrusted with the care and arrangements for Audra.
