It is with heavy hearts that the family of Archie Laboucane announces his passing.

Archie was a loving partner, father, stepfather, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He was a hardworking man who spent many years as an ironworker, a trade that brought him not only a career, but a brotherhood and friendships that stayed with him throughout his life.

When Archie wasn’t working, he was happiest outdoors. He loved the fresh air, being out on the land and spending time at his special place. It was there, surrounded by nature and the people he loved, that Archie could simply be himself.

Family was a very important part of Archie’s life. He shared 28 years with his loving partner, Rose (Tsi-Pom) Malboeuf, building a life filled with family, memories and many years spent side by side. Archie loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren deeply, and his family grew to include many people who were not connected simply by blood, but by love.

Archie will be lovingly remembered by his partner of 28 years, Rose (Tsi-Pom) Malboeuf; his children, Tammy (Welin), Jasmine and Cody (Magan); his stepchildren, Mona (Greg), Viola, Cheryl (Eric) and Mike; and his special pet, Mya.

He will also be deeply missed by his grandchildren, Keanu, Sophia, Stephanie, Stan, Anson, Isla, Chantel, Jasmine, Kenzie, Tayven, Bella and Caleb; and his great-grandchildren, Sophie, Cece, Sarah, Alyai, Cyanna and Arianne.

Archie leaves behind his siblings, Darlene Laboucane, Marlene Burnstick, Yvonne Larocque and Victor (Maggy); his in-laws, George (Norma), Louisa (Ted) Ratt, Vicky Aubichon, Maryanne Lamontagne, Anita, Brenda (Harold) Morin, Ron (Thelma), Joachim (Eileen), Peter and Deanna (Kelly); his special niece, Regina; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, ironworker brothers and friends who were fortunate enough to know him.

Archie was predeceased by his parents, James Laboucane and Victoria Bellerose; his siblings, Suzanne, Walter, Lloyd, and Rose; his sons, Lenny Stout and Josh Laboucane; his in-laws, Wayne Burnstick, Raymond Larocque, Charles and Christine Malboeuf, Josie Deringer, Clifford Aubichon and Jean Kyplain; special nieces and nephews; and his special pet, Jack.

A viewing for Archie will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at 3:00 pm, at Cherished Memories Funeral Services in Martensville, Saskatchewan.

There will be a come and go at Rose’s place on Monday, September 21, 2026.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church in Île-à-la-Crosse, Saskatchewan.

Honorary Pallbearers are all of Archie’s ironworker brothers, T.J. Roy, Roger Malboeuf and Richard Laliberte, along with all those who knew and loved Archie.

A Celebration of Archie’s Life will follow the funeral service on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at Brenda and Harold Morin’s lot on Highway 908. Family and friends are invited to join the family for a meal at Archie’s special place; a fitting place to come together, share stories, laugh, remember and honour a man who meant so much to so many.

Archie’s hands worked hard throughout his life, but his greatest legacy will always be the family he loved, the friendships he made and the memories he leaves behind.
