Albertine Gail Rabbitskin

Albertine Gail Rabbitskin, a cherished daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on May 6, 2025, at the age of 51. Born on April 15, 1974, in Spiritwood, Saskatchewan, Albertine lived a life full of love, strength, and compassion.

She is lovingly remembered by her mother, Florence Rabbitskin, and the father of her children, Gabriel Silverquill. Albertine leaves behind her beloved children, Gregory, Clarissa, Ashley, Shelby, Alicia, and Allison, as well as her grandchildren, including Ava Rabbitskin. In addition, she extended her nurturing spirit to her raised children, Leland and Levi, who were also an essential part of her life.

Albertine's legacy continues through her siblings: Gerald, Darrel, Deloris (Marvin) Netmaker, Darwin, Doreen, Brenda, Dean, Dwayne, Dustin, and Jessica, who will hold her memory close to their hearts.

She was predeceased by her father, William (Willie) Chamakese, her daughter, Gabrielle Rabbitskin, and her beloved grandparents, Rose Rabbitskin and Ike Chamakese (Elsie). Their absence remains a poignant reminder of the bonds that shaped Albertine's life.

A wake service will be held from May 10 to May 11 at the Saskatoon Indian & Metis Friendship Centre, where family and friends can come together to celebrate her life. A funeral service will take place on Monday, May 12, at 11 a.m., also at the Friendship Centre, officiated by Pastor Dez and Joy Desnomie. Albertine will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Albertine Gail Rabbitskin will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her spirit lives on through her family, and the love she shared with her children and community will continue to inspire and uplift those whose lives she touched.
